Virtual Support Sessions through Zoom

It was national Holliday Friday, in Kenya, but Saturday I got Toastmasters who came with questions, and Monday, today, I got an email from the VPE "will send you more needing answers to some basic questions." We were six in all.

Jared arrived first, and I was really impressed: he has been Toastmaster already for 18 years. Lot of basic questions, as he was not present when I presented and explained some basic facts about Pathways arrival.

For two more years, those who work on Advanced Manuals have time to finish them. Best begin at the same time also Pathways to remain "expert and help others". The meetings and evaluations remain as they were, even if hopefully more specific with time. The basics are indeed repeated in every path, but we do it each time at a different level, as we do not remain the same.

Roles? they are only three roles "must" be done, before end of level 3 : Evaluation which is done anyway in the project after the Icebreaker. Toastmaster of the Evening, and Table Topic Master. All the other roles are there, done, and the date when did last time can be noted. But only the Evaluation in the second Project of Level 1 is Evaluated.

Evaluations? There is a difference between spoken and written evaluation. Once completed, the written evaluations are given back to the speaker. It is the speaker who gets them and in very rare case they are shown to anyone else. If we want, we can scan and upload them in our e-portofolio, but there only we can see them (the member).Just some "basic" informations repeated again. And beside a few slides prepared, I used screen sharing to show how I enter Base Camp and my levels.

Zoom is great in sharing screen, video, images or slide shows prepared in advance or getting into my Base camp, showing how I work, what I find.
Opening up full screen, one can click on the small arrow at bottom and jump at different parts of a Project.
I had two other Pathways discussion too, very happy when I can answer. I hope, I do it clear enough. As the sessions are long, at most, I will cut small parts to add in this blog. And as usual, I had Toastmasters who still have to choose a path. About that I have written and was read a lot in this blog. See on computer at right sidebar.
