By June 2017 I found my voice

Yesterday I spend a hours, reviewing my June 2017 posts one by one. What a joy! By 7 June, a month of blogging, I found my voice, and from then on, reading the varied blog posts become a pleasure.

Another June post, funny, authentic and interesting: "This time it worked"

When I gave my story the second time and it did improve. This is the beginning of the post on the left. On the right, already yesterday's visit numbers. Beginning of June it was 1777 and I was proud of all those entries. Soon, it will be 77,777 but that arrived through writing a post each day, from May 2017 to today. It took almost a month, to find my voice for this Blog, but by June last year it arrived.

I will continue reading each day a month worth of posts, but will write about it only every other day. New things arrive and variety is more interesting.

Spectacular September Showcase of Online Meetings

Together with Brian Dodd, Michelle Alba-Lim, organizes a showcase of Online Toastmasters clubs for this week, beginning from now. It was a week, it seems it will be extended more.

For the moment, I did assist to the first one, for me. The club had its one year chartering celebration. Global Trainers Online, choose me as Sponsor. I have been Sg-of-Arms from the first meeting, and convinced to stay for the second year.

All Online Toastmaster Clubs use now Zoom, for many reasons but one is that we can record easy and show the results. We can also show a "green screen" background, here it is Scott, Timekeeper signaling the middle time arrived with a yellow background. Under him, you see Graham with a Microphone in his background, later on he spoke how to create a Podcast. 

As Podcast is one of the Pathways Projects in Level 4 many of us were interested or already begun creating it. Graham, as Radio Presenter for many years, what specially good to speak about Podcast, it was a Technical Speech but in fact, very easy to understand, in plus, he did show us also his professional Microphone, and told us about many different possibilities to podcast. Did you know? I just learned! 

The radios Broadcasted with professional equipment. Then come the iPod and we could Podcast, all of us. Later only it was even possible with iPhone, to use it as mic or even Vcast, add video to the Podcast, or do both, have Only Sound or Sound and Image together. Or Sound and Video. 

Graham, also President of the Global Trainers Online club, meeting twice a month Saturday (6 am UTC) told us: the most ingredient for a Podcast is: an interesting Content! I hope, he will let me add his intervention here for another day, after it is processed. Here a link he created for us for Tools for Podcasting.

Creating Online Meetings is also a Pathways Project, so for all of you it is interesting to know about different online clubs, and this week a great opportunity to discover them.

Every day, tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday too, there will be one or more online toastmasters club meetings anyone is invited to assist.

Here is from Wednesday, as all did not get in one screen and yes, as the club I created with Svetlana, the very first speciality club online, the Witty Storytellers Online, is in this image, we meet 6 am London time.

I am the club coach of Royal Roads, a hybrid club, that meets Monday only Online, and as I see Friday (after midnight for me) in the university grounds of the Royal Roads in Canada, but open to remote access too. 

Ablaze "home" is in New Zealand but as with all Online clubs, has World Wide Members and Visitors. Zooming together, as if we were in one room, as if it were not late evening, noon or morning from where we are, and when summer and warm in Vancouver, cold winter in Australia. I have learned so much meeting world wide toastmasters!

Now, as I learned again, about what is needed to Podcast, I can begin gathering my Content.  All those years ago, when I told stories in theatre and prepared to my speeches and later, comedy routines, I recorded them before, a few times even, during sometimes when possible. I remembered even that I used a software to hear lauder the laughter!

May 2017 about Level 1 then Level 2 projects

In the first two month, after I joined the Pathways Pilot District 27 first club, remote access, I finished the first two Levels of Visionary Communication path and the required Project of Level 3.

Going from online club to online club and also my London club to speak, reading a lot of interesting books, researching on Google, interviewing George Marshal, organizing Pathways Meetings with him and Paul White.

I do explain well the Level 1 and then the Level 2 projects through my May 2017 posts.

In the end, I finally, did buy myself a new Printer so I could begin to print some of my Level 3 Elective Projects, those I have chosen, Voice Variety, and Connect with Storytelling, and some not chosen this time.

I did nothing else then prepare and deliver. All my hours and days where consecrated to Pathways, and in plus, I was in many clubs and visited, allowed to speak in others too, most of them Online clubs, some Remote Access, plus the one near me where I live. In fact I did not stop, it is still my main aim. Help Pathways Transition and discover as much as possible about it.

In May I already got two other path, beside the Visionary Communication.

Effective Coaching, I stopped after just offering the Icebreaker to a new remote club I joined. At the time, I believed that I have to give an Icebreaker from a NEW PATH in all clubs. We do learn a lot from our mistakes! A lot later, did I begin to get through this path's Levels and Projects again.

Presentation Mastery Printed Manual was paid  in April, I was still waiting, end of May to get the first two manuals. TMI service was convinced to have send me, and I got them only only mid June and after special intervention when a proper research was made showing them what happened between the ordering service and the one who was supposed to sending them. But of course, those were the early days.

This morning, I read every post from month of May, corrected a few phrases, but otherwise left the posts like they were written at that time. Memories of my life come back to me.

I regret I did not write anything in April, this blog begins in May, before, I just have a few memories. I have to read through the rest, to see if I did write later about those. As I read through my posts I relived the period and the work I have done.

It does show how much I learned through the first two Level Project's Tasks.

Getting through them, working on them, understanding them better later, got me at yet other levels. If you begin, I suggest to go through the 2017 May posts, one by one and share my experience. Understand better the projects together with me.

A lot was still in fog for me at that time, I did knew some things, but could not express very well, and I was preoccupied mostly to understand the project's tasks and create stories, tell them at best of my knowledge. While getting the Level 1 certificate seemed a great joy, at the end of Level 2 I was mostly happy about the progress I made while going through the Projects and the Tasks.

It is not so easy to read a blog from beginning, but if you go to the year and month and open it, the posts are in the order they were written, with the first on top.
