Additional roles: Pathways Ambassador

This is from my Toastmasters International "Additional Roles". The dates are those of beginnings.
I was anxious, as the Pathways Ambassador (before it was REP Ambassador) role was dated Oct. 16, 2015 - as it still is inside my "Welcome Julie" on Toastmasters International "Additional Roles", as the Pathways Guide role is also from the date we begun.

But yesterday, I received a letter.
This is only part of the letter, but all the letter reassures me: I did receive the 17th July this year, the Pathways Ambassador credit, equivalent with a year District Officer credit, even if the date is not there.

In fact, I did perform also a district officer role, I was Division Governor, but that one was not recognized after I broke my leg, even if I did my role well.

Now I did get Ambassador in District 91 (district not written) and Guide in District U (un-districted clubs) - for the last one I will be giving my last virtual Support Session tomorrow early morning and another early afternoon London time.

I have been Club Officer, Secretary and VPE in two clubs more then a year already. District officer role is considered the Pathways Ambassador role. I got my Club Coach certificate a week ago, and have been Club Sponsor to a new online club. Finished 2 path a while ago.

The only thing remaining now is now my D.T.M Project, for which I do already have my team, that agreed to work with me. Perhaps one more in the team will be needed to help. I got my Project finally, only have to give my first speech after I meet at least once with my team. All this was achieved, in fact from January 2017, "inside Pathways period", wether or not on the new D.T.M will be written or not "Pathways D.T.M".

I can concentrate from now on, all my energy on the D.T.M Project.

Of course, not "all" as I am also to finish my work as Guide (soon) and I am President of an online club and on two other club committees. I am doing three paths at different levels, now slower, Projects one by one.

Not so bad for a 85 year old!

Yesterday evening at my land toastmasters club, the Table Topics Master asked each a question about what they want to achieve if they live to 80, what they will do at 80, how they will behave at 80. What, 80 years old? That was for me five years ago.

Specific pathways problems?

VSS is Virtual Support Session and all Guides are supposed to offer 15 of those in all to the VPE and all those in real need of it, some before, most after the rollout.

I will offer my last VSS tomorrow early morning. Join us from your PC, Mac, Linux, iOS or Android: https://zoom.us/j/5722868894 if you want to participate.

Meeting ID: 572 286 8894

It does rain, indeed, from time to time, over our Pathways User Interface. I do hope, they will tell us along the way when they begin to correct it, so we know and does not take us by surprise.

As now, from end May, all the regions are "rolled out", it seems already 50% had begun pathways. That would not be so bad if I did not heard that from the new members, only 50% did begun only. What are the others doing? They are not helped to get into it, as nothing else will be recognized for them? Many who complained at the beginning, now got into it even if grumbling and discovering, and enjoying the projects, realizing the differences between "I give yet another speech" or "I am now working on my next Project."

Every Social Media has some problems and hidden features not so easy to understand. This morning, I finally connected Twitter to my Ipad, and realized that it was linked with YouTube! I had no idea anyone could follow what video I looked at a time! After working for more then an hour, I found the way to disconnect it, then had to go to Google YouTube and delete the history of a few I really thought very personal and for for everyone to follow after me!

We will have to make again a list of all the problems or at least more difficult parts of the user interface. But do not believe it is only the Digital web interface has problem. The printed paths has also to be cleaned from everything that does not belong there. Even before addressing or not the problem of no choice for those who buy them and getting the same electives with their second path again.

I decided, to go back, month after month, and look what where the problems I fought then, even if I do not have those from April, but I do remember those vividly. I will give some other web Q/A later, but feel free to come if you need some tomorrow, at 6am London time with a free Zoom downloaded on your device.

What to do not to see clutter?

Get rid of the clutter! <--How? Here is the post where I explained how to do it, how I did it.
The 17th April, did I finally write a post explaining it screen by screen. By a click on the first sentence of this blog, you can arrive there. Or, by typing "get rid of the clutter" in the blog's Search.

Inside the Educational Transcript, you can look at the ACTIVE or Completed or Archived Paths and classes.

Curriculum, only when you want to see only your paths, or All, then all you opened is there.

You can see them sorted by Title, by Date, etc.

For me, this was the cleaner I got, in April, with only three path I was working on.

Now, there are more, as I linger both in Dynamic Leadership Level 5, on a Leadership Project to feel finished for me, and I did not go farther with the French path, till I did not decide that it will be dedicated to Paris. And with Motivational Strategies, the first path where I am doing not 2 but 12 Electives.

And no, I am not doing it in advance for another path: they are not transferable! I am doing them to learn and understand each of them. Now, I also have one more path I got free after our May launch, as being in two clubs, and of course I am just in Level 1. I stopped there too, waiting till I find to what I dedicate it. Just decided: Humor!

As with this example, you can find many answers to many questions that could arise. It did rain a lot on me, and as I was learning to deal with the rain, I stumbled. And as soon as the rain stopped, or I found a solution, I wrote about it.
